Schlittenbacher Straße 2
The manufacture of metal buttons and buckles was the focus of the company founded by Hermann Richard Gerhadi in 1796. The company’s expansion afterwards was uninterrupted. From 1851 to 1905, its main products were household tableware items such as coffee and tea services made initially of tin and later out of nickel silver. The company premises at Schlittenbacher Strasse underwent continuous expansion starting in 1905. After 1945, the production of tableware items was discontinued and an extrusion press for construction profiles was integrated. In 1980 the aluminium extrusion press facility was relocated and in 1985 a plastics electroplating system was installed at the Schlittenbacher Strasse location. 2000 saw the founding of Gerhardi Kunststofftechnik GmbH (MBO).
The work of Ocubo will be on display at the “Gerhardi Kunststofftechnik” location.
