Art and Design Information Assistance

LichtRouten informational assistance regarding the connections between concepts, locations and installations is provided by information assistants who will be on hand at all of the locations during the entire exhibition to provide you with information and answer your questions. In addition, there are three daily tours that are open to all interested members of the public free of charge without registration. Additional tours for closed groups can be booked upon request.

Another service consists of tours focused on special interests or needs such as foreign languages (in particular English), technology (in particular lighting technology) or life experience. There are also special tours for children up to age 12, age 12 and older and for senior citizens. These tours can also be booked upon request.

Under the direction of Bettina Pelz and Sybille Kastner, 30 information assistants and tour guides underwent training from May to September of 2010 in preparation for their work during LichtRouten 2010. Almost all of them come from Lüdenscheid and have several years of LichtRouten experience. Participating in a small qualification programme, they received training in the special demands of providing art and design information and on the specific contents of LichtRouten 2010. In accordance with the various access qualifications and experience histories, each of the information assistants and tour guides arrange their own format independently.
